Je Suis Malade...

Oh it rarely happens, but when it does... sheer misery!

But at least while I nurse this horrible cold I am in heaven reading the latest book from my favorite author Alexander McCall Smith: The World According to Bertie.

This is the fourth installment in the 44 Scotland Street series and it is as enthralling and endearing as the three before it.

I'm almost enjoying myself- but don't tell anyone!

Sigh, that sounds like a lovely thing to do at the moment. With a small daughter, it's difficult for me to have those days in bed when you can lie and read. What heaven! Glad to hear you are feeling better. Garlic and lemon juice! x

Yes do feel better soon and enjoy the book while you're recuperating. I haven't read any of the Scotland books but love the No 1 detective agency ones I have read so far!

Rose- If you love the No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency you MUST read the 44 Scotland street series- just make sure you read them in order...

Benson- Thank you so much for your kind words. I feel great today and am ready to get back to blogging :)

God, I sound like my Mother.

I hope you have a nice box of chocolates in there with you too!

Thanks Lady Jicky... chocolate certainly helps and I happened to have made a batch of chocolate chip cookies to speed up my recovery :)

Aw, DC, so sorry to hear...others have covered the tea/fluids/rest aspect. Glad to hear about the batch of cookies, too. ;)

Primrose, am on the other side of little kids, and you WILL return to a time when you can spend at least a reasonable (if not decadent) amount of time in bed simply recovering. Sometimes, they even make you tea!
