Belvada GelMoment At home Gel Nails GIVEAWAY

This week I have an exciting giveaway for you by Belvada. It is from their at home gel nails line called GelMoment. GelMoment is an innovative non-toxic gel nail product that has improved on the salon model in so many ways.

● Formaldahyde-free, it is completely non-toxic
● Absolutely no sulfates so it does not weaken the nail
● Uses natural, active ingredients that mimic gel nail products
● Requires no base coat or top coat, saving money in the long run
● Uses an LED light instead of the traditional UV light used at the salon eliminating the longterm dangers of UV rays
● Odorless

I've tried GelMoment for the past two and a half months and it is really great! Here are my thoughts and tips:

It takes a lot of practice to successfully apply the nail polish. First you give yourself an at-home manicure. Make sure you buff your nails really well. Do not apply a base coat. Wipe a small amount of a gel nail cleanser (which can be found at a beauty supply store... also Belvada will be making one available soon) on each nail. If you cannot find a gel nail cleanser, you can use rubbing alcohol. Apply a thin coat of the nail polish to one nail at a time. Avoid getting the polish on your cuticle or the polish will peel off easily. After you apply it to one nail, use the LED light to cure the nail for 30 to 45 seconds. I find it's best to cure one nail at a time. I tried painting my entire hand and then curing and it did not work, the gel nails 'drooped'. If you make any mistakes and your gel nails peel off it is really easy to just apply again and go.

Once you are ready to remove the gel nail polish (they can last up to 10 days when applied properly) soak a cotton ball in acetone nail polish remover and wrap around your finger securing with aluminum foil for 10 minutes. **I find the product a bit difficult to remove and also think applying acetone is not ideal. Belvada will be coming out with a non-acetone remover in the near future.

The gel nail polish shades range from neutral to dark reds. In the video I am wearing caramel tan, but I have also tried blushing bride (which is very similar to my favorite Essie Mademoiselle!). Check out their range of colors here.

For more information and to see the gel nails on me, check out this week's video. If you are unable to see the video above, click here, look in the sidebar of this blog, or visit my channel: www.youtube.com/TheDailyConnoisseur

I Would Love To Hear More About Your Exercisee Regimen. I'm Having Trouble Losing All My Baby Weight And It's Been Over A Year. (Sorry, My Phone Changes The Letters To Caps!)

I would like to hear about French meals and wine recommendations. Also would love to see your summer ten item wardrobe! Thanks!

Something I adored about your book was your advice about making room for culture, the arts, and intellectual pursuits in our daily lives. I would have liked the book even without the brainy/cultural aspect, but in my opinion that's what set it apart from the competition, and I would love to see more of that on the blog.

I enjoy all your videos and posts. It's such a pleasure to see someone living an elegant life with grace and beauty. This is becoming too rare in our world. Thank you for being authentically you and showing up.

I would like to hear more about how exactly you style your hair and what products you use, any tanning/sunless tanning products you use and thoughts on how to live a "French" life when you're stuck in the middle of Texas! (Random things, I know. But that is how my mind is working this morning!)

Personally, I'd love to hear more about hair care and styling; that's definitely something I struggle with.

I'm so excited about this product! Thus far I've really neglected my nails, but lately I've been wanting to change that. However, the salon is not an option for me, and I try to stay away from chemicals -- Belvada sounds like the perfect solution. Especially if they come out with an alternative to acetone!

I can't tell you how happy I am to have discovered your blog; you are an inspiration in so many ways! I'm busily (and happily) working my way through your archives.

Blessings,
Shannon

(reposted because I forgot to mention which beauty topic I'd like to see more of in my original comment!)

This is an amazing giveaway! I was just asking a friend who gives pedicures with the SpaRitual line of nail care products if there is any company who has made a non-toxic, non-UV gel nail product! I'm so excited to hear that Belvada is providing the market with a non-toxic, LED-light alternative. THANK YOU BELVADA!! And thank you Jennifer for sharing this product with us!

I look forward to seeing your 10-item wardrobe for the fall. I would love to see some healthy recipes. I also like the idea of a post (or multiple) about simple life upgrades (nice PJs, enjoying your coffee in a pretty cup, etc)

I would like to try this system. Anything to make a mani last longer(that's not toxic.)
Also, I was interested for future videos or questions answered segments, how you go about creating your seasonal capsule wardrobe so that all items correlate and "tell a story"? For Ex. Do you start with tops and find bottom after? Do you create a mood board for inspiration? How do you prevent yourself from over purchasing? Do you end up returning items that don't correlate with later purchases. Do you do all your purchases in an approx. 1 month time span then wait another 6 months before choosing your next season items? I am very intrigued by your capsule wardrobe philosophy and would like to duplicate it in a concise way where I don't end up over purchasing.

I would love to hear more about how you find and select new seasonal beauty products. I'm also curious if you enjoy any out-of-character products occasionally. A red lip? A bright eye shadow? Are there any that you use when the mood strikes?

Any cultural posts, ie. food, music, wine, art, would be great too!

Ps. Thank you so much for this giveaway! I like this nail system because it doesn't use UV lights which can age your skin.

You are such a lovely person and role model. :). I've read your book and enjoy visiting your blog. I especially love your YouTube videos, because you are delightful to watch in person and so positive. Thanks again!

I would like to hear about your daily skin care routine, as well as hair care products( yours always looks so shiny), and about books you would recommend. I adore your book and your blog. Thank you for your efforts!

Thank you for your lovely blog! Great giveaway too :) As for beauty products I am interested in seasonal beauty products for skin, hair and nails. I am interested in products that multi-task and do not contain chemicals. It is hard to find products that are of good quality that are natural, don't test on animals, and are reasonably priced.
Now when it comes to beauty - I like seeing things that are simple but keep me feeling fresh. I prefer bb cream in the summer or tinted moisturizer to say liquid makeup in the summer months -- fresh beautiful skin is always in -- but I like to incorporate a little trend too -- just not too much. Like say a pop of color on the lip I wouldn't use in the fall. While I may invest more in skin care and base -- I won't invest in bright pops of lip color -- but i might go with a cheaper product just to keep it fun. Again -- thank you and keep up the lovely work :)

Thank you for the giveaway and for your blog. I have given your book to so many people and am thrilled to see that a return to an inspired, elegant way of living is making a comeback...one blog post at a time!
I would be very interested to hear how you deal with what I call "baby paraphernalia". I don't have any children but when I look at my friends' homes, they are overrun with baby items. Do you only purchase essential items that multitask? Or, do you feel that clutter is just synonymous with having children?

J'adore your blog and all of your videos! I would love to read and listen to more about dinners you cook, dinner parties you host, recipes you love, etc. Food and dining is such a large part of living an elegant lifestyle and I know you would provide us with such a wealth of knowledge!

P.S. Rita D's phone changing the letters to caps CRACKED me up! I had a extremely difficult time loosing my baby weight as well until I tried the Dukan diet, recommended to me by our French Foreign exchange student. It was hard but well worth the effort!

I have been really interested in the different gel nail brands but I think this looks like the best one to try. I am not a fan of all of the chemicals that are present in other brands but didn't"'t know what other kinds to look at.
