There are many things in a home that can evoke true feelings of luxury and romance: paintings, rugs, flowers, candlelight, sumptuous pillows, lovely soaps and
chandeliers...
We recently installed a chandelier (pictured above) over our dining room table. I am in love with this gorgeous fixture. It creates an instant atmosphere of luxe and helps to define the dining room in our open plan home as a space of importance- a space to be cherished.
Now I am seeing my
room with a view in a whole different light…
So pretty! And I love your French Doors. We hope to install some in our Living Room next spring.
ReplyDeleteGorgeous! So Chic and Timeless!
ReplyDeleteWow, it looks like you have a realyl beautiful home, and it must be lovely to sit and look out at that garden everyday!
ReplyDeleteProper lighting of a room makes such a difference in the ambience.
ReplyDeleteYour home is beautiful btw!
You have the prettiest dining room. I love it all! The fabulous chandelier mixed with the linen and lovely table are so perfect. Not to mention the view!
ReplyDeleteWhat I'm saying...what a delightful place for a dinner gathering...
ReplyDeleteThe chandelier looks marvelous. :)
Thank you so much everyone! Yes I think the general consensus is that my dining room is READY to have a dinner party! I promise to throw one in the month of November and report back... xo
ReplyDeleteChandeliers are tricky I had to take mine out because it did not match the more modern style of everything else I had going on. Everyone that comes into my place is a professional interior designer.... women and men both agreed though the chandelier was out of place... on the other hand your place makes it look perfect.
ReplyDeleteMarvelous! We have an antique chandelier in our dining room and it is really an atmosphere creater.

She was kind enough to give me one as well and I'm so glad beacuse it gave me a chance to find your great blog. Been reading all your posts about your french experiences and can relate -it is a whole different world!
ReplyDeletethat looks beautiful. I love your art deco windows- you lucky girl!
ReplyDeleteOh my the chandelier looks fab in your beautiful DR and what a view. That room deserves an elegant dinner party! Isn't it amazing the difference it makes?
ReplyDeleteI am getting ready to put two chandelier sconces (french of course and mais qui bought in France too) in my bathroom on the mirrors to reflect the light. They have the prettiest ecru shades. I get the shivers just thinking how beautiful they are going to be. I am taking down the ugly light fixtures that I let my husband pick out-BIG MISTAKE- because I was just to tired to argue.
i'd kill for that kind of dinning room :p
ReplyDeletea room with a view, that reminds me of the actual book i'm about to read. can't wait!
Thank you so much everyone... Your comments make me even more grateful for my dining room :)
