LONDONTOWN Nail Polish Review (Vegan, Cruelty-free, 9-free)
Today, I have an in-depth review of LONDONTOWN'S high-quality nail polishes. I was excited to do this review and test these polishes, as I have had many requests for more natural polishes. LONDONTOWN'S polishes are vegan, gluten-free, cruelty-free and 9-free.
What does 9-free mean? It means that the polishes are free of 9 potentially harmful chemicals: formaldehyde, camphor, toluene, DBP (dibutyl pthalate and phthalates), formaldehyde resin, xylene, ethyl tosylamide, parabens, and lead.
Check out all of LondonTown's beautiful nail colors here.
Here are the polishes featured and tested in my video:
Chelsea Porcelain
The Full Monty
Portobello Plum
Double the Deck
Gel Genius Top Coat
Instant Smudge Fix
Nail Hardener and Base Coat
I test the polishes over many weeks and are very impressed with their endurance and quality. Be sure to check out this week's video for the whole review. Thank you to LondonTown for sending me these polishes to review!

Thank you so much for adding a touch of class and grace to the world. There is so much going on that can bring us down if we allow it to. I have decided to be more discerning in which bloggers I follow, since their attitudes have a tendency to creep into my life, whether I am intentional about it or not. Thank you for daring to be different, and for the source of encouragement that you are to so many, including me. Many blessings to you and yours!
Grammy Laura, thank you so much for your kind encouragement!
See you on Thursday for another beauty review.

Hi Jennifer! I loved the polishes... I'm gonna try them when I'm able to buy one. I'm specially interested in the gel coat. Do you think it might work with other nail polish brands? I can't get over Essie Mademoiselle....
ReplyDeleteI have another question for you... I know you play the piano... how long do you keep your nails on a daily basis in order to play comfortably, but still look chic? I play the piano too, and I find myself trimming mine every week. The length you had when you wore the nude polish for me seems imposible to play with... Do you get to grow your nails for special ocations?
Btw... Your book "20 lessons" arrived 3 days ago.... I'm loving it! Congratulations :)
Good morning, Jennifer!
ReplyDeleteGluten - free polish made my day. I used to think that gluten is somewhat related to food, wheat and other cereals, to be more specific, and it might be harmful if eaten. Apparently, the person can get disposed to it through any odd nail polish as well - who new the nail polishes could be eaten and consists of cereal.
Sarcasm aside, this also is a thing, you in fact are standing against, it is clear case of dumbing down the unsuspecting.
Kindest regards with your otherwise lovely and charming blog -
Dear Anonymous
ReplyDeleteFor people with Cealiac disease being exposed to gluten in any form from food or beauty products is incredibly serious and can result in death for the most extreme cases. Gluten is often present in thickeners which is why it is important to state whether products are gluten free. Perhaps do some research on this very serious medical condition before leaving sarcastic comments on blogs.
Regards
Stephanie
Jennifer..I hoped this blog was above selling products to its followers...it's one thing to recommend a product, another to totally bombard us with ads from them. this entire entry was an advertisement.
ReplyDeletetotal turn-off! please rethink your strategy. otherwise loved your blogs.
Dear Anon, I'm assuming both comments are from the same person. Please do not write a comment unless you are willing to sign your name behind it . I originally disabled the anonymous comments features on the blog because I grew weary of the cowardly troll-like comments. If you are not willing to state your name behind the comment, you should rethink writing it. This blog has always been a mix of various content, including beauty reviews. This review was requested, as most of them are. I suggest, if the beauty reviews bother you, that you skip the blog on those days. There will be another review on Thursday. Thank you!
ReplyDeleteStephanie, Yes! I have a good friend with a gluten allergy and she is always in agony trying to find products that don't flare up her RA. It's a real issue.
Quayette- Thank you! I can usually play at this length, but nothing longer than this. I've been playing a lot recently too as my oldest daughter is learning to play. It's wonderful!
Dear Stephanie, for people with celiac disease to suffer from gluten they first have to eat it. http://www.webmd.com/digestive-disorders/celiac-disease/celiac-disease#1
ReplyDeleteDear Jennifer,
Aperantly I am not the only one dissapointed. There were two anonymous people commenting.
I appreciate the information about the nail polish and yes I guess you could call it an advertisement, but to me its a recommendation, much like when Jennifer makes Christmas gift suggestions. Not trying to get into a disagreement, just presenting another impression of the video blog.
ReplyDeleteI actually really appreciate your product reviews, especially the make up. I have very similar coloring to yours and I cannot tell you how many of your reviews have led me to a new favorite product. Please keep up the good work!

ReplyDeleteI did not have time to read your blogs last week, and as I was scrolling down to read them, there were six (6) separate huge Londontown ads. That's what prompted me to comment. The original video/ blog on the nail polish is great! I as well appreciate your recommendations...perhaps I should have added that.
I do regret the tone the comment was in..perhaps it was a result of my frustration at the election issues was of late .
You blog is a little oasis in the world of internet. Thank you Jennifer!
sorry I can't post my name now :-)
Thank you, PLL and Bliss!
ReplyDeleteAnon, thank you for clarifying. Even though you still won't leave me your name :)
Best wishes to you all and have a great night!
Actually, I really appreciate the 9-free information. There probably are more harmful chemicals present in nail polish, but you've got to start somewhere!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the review, Jennifer.
Allison A.
Thanks, Alison A!
ReplyDeleteHi Ladies,
Sadly, I had to disable the 'anonymous' comment feature on the blog again, so you will have to have a registered account to comment. I am sorry to do this, but it does prevent trolls and spamming. Thanks so much to everyone who had constructive input on this post! Have a great day and see you on Thursday.
Best wishes,
Jennifer
Jennifer,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your beauty reviews. In a world of overwhelming choices in the beauty department i welcome someone else's recommendation. I do not see these as advertisement at all. I may not purchase the exact product you use but use a product I already have in a different way or style. Thank you for your blog, books and you tube channel- they have changed my life for the better. I love the 10 minute quick tidy and have several of the chicken freezer meals frozen and ready to go. I now get ready (presentable) daily and that does wonders for my mood for the day. Keep up the good work!
