This is the view from our dining room table. The month of October is particularly special at my house because the large tree out front produces these gorgeous pink flowers.
If I am ever feeling less than grateful, I sit at my dining room table and take in this magical tree with its thorny trunk and pink blooms and reflect about how truly lucky I am to live in Santa Monica and have a room with a view…
Wow, you are not kidding. I have a book of English country cottages and the views are just the same. But you have vastly superior weather!!

Oh, gorgeous Santa Monica!
ReplyDeleteI like how you have a rainbow catcher hanging from youR window. I have some too; right now one is sending a rainbow onto my computer as I type!
Yes you are. Soon most of the rest of us will be looking out at naked trees.
ReplyDeleteI've tried every clever way I know to "put you up" from the usual typing into the customize section to copy and paste and NOTHING works. Obviously I've done it before because I do have a "favorites" list. It's making me crazy.
Loved Mme. Chic's advice. Any little tidbit we can get from the experts we must act upon immediately.
Did I ever tell you how much I enjoy your blog? Posts like this are like a soothing balm, and help me feel grateful for my own garden views, when life gets on top, ya know?
ReplyDeleteLove to you, dear one.
M. Lane- We do have amazing weather! I will never take that for granted. We don't have seasons though (a deal breaker for most people but since I am a native Californian- I don't mind at all) ;)
ReplyDeleteCashmere- I love my crystal. I have a few in key windows- I love the magical effect they create... very centering and peaceful.
Tish- Thank you! I'm sorry you're having issues following me. I posted a 'technical issues' post so hopefully someone will help us out with this... :)
Machinist's Wife- Thank you so much for your kind words. I'm so glad you are back in the blogosphere... I am excited to continue following your journey xo
Gorgeous photo... FAB view!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect view. Ahh, to glance onto mid writer's block ... lol: I truely believe that beauty inspires.
ReplyDeleteIt's not luck, you deserve it. :)
So lovely! You and my mother could send pictures to each other of your lovely gardens:)
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful window and I do love your chandelier!
ReplyDeleteI'm envious of the lovely green and flowers, in Brisbane Australia we have been having very dry weather for some time, my poor garden is lacking terribly but we are on water restrictions.
Nevertheless, I am on the big countdown to my Christmas and New Year in Pars - 49 days to take off.
Warm Regards
Nik
Woops, typo, I meant I am on the countdown to Paris!! Oui!
