Shannon Ables + Jennifer L. Scott Interview | Living the Simply Luxurious Life

My interview series continues with the delightful Shannon Ables from the wildly popular Simply Luxurious Life blog. Shannon and I met four years ago when I was a guest on her podcast series. She has always been such a wonderful supporter of the Madame Chic books.

Since our podcast interview, Shannon published her first book, Choosing the Simply Luxurious Life and in today's interview we discuss her second book, Living the Simply Luxurious Life, which was just released this week!

Shannon and I discuss her new book, the world of blogging, challenging cultural norms, finances, productivity, signature style, and so much more.

I hope you enjoy today's interview.

The book on productivity (whose title eluded me during the interview) was Deep Work by Cal Newport.

I thoroughly enjoyed my chat with Shannon and I hope you enjoy today's video.

I have given 2 baskets for birthdays and I'm gifting more baskets for Christmas. Thank you Jennifer, and thanks to Bend Soap Co. for their outstanding products."

Hi Carrie, I'm so happy you loved the Bend Soap review. I am giving their baskets for Christmas too. They make the perfect gift!

  1. Jennifer, thank you for introducing me and your readers to Shannon. I was not aware of her work until today and I'm looking forward to spending time on her blog. I'm in the process of cutting my cable and your blog and Shannon's gives me that incentive. I am so cable-newsed out I knew I had to make a change. I have two food blogs and for 2019 I'm working on a blog that will still be a food blog but one in which I'll write about being a better steward of food. By that I mean, not being wasteful, and eating better at home than eating out. My blogs are a creative outlet for myself, not so much something I want to share with the world. I've really enjoyed your transition to blogging about simple living yet living well. I know you work hard for your readers and it's greatly appreciated.

  3. Yours is one of only a couple vlogs/videos I follow as I don't seem to sit still a whole lot. But, I listen to lots of podcasts in the car. Thanks for this interview. I thoroughly enjoyed it and will be checking Shannon's podcasts out. Thanks so much!
