Thank you for this video! It was great, and I was so happy that she mentioned hormone cycles (circadian rhythm) with the timing of IF. This is so important, yet it's not mentioned very often with IF. I love that your blog gives practical advice for every day living that we can implement in realistic ways into our lives. Thank you and God Bless.

I became interested in IF for health, rather than weight reasons. Thank you for posting this video. I learned some new things!
I remember from the 1960's some of the habits that you mention. They include: 3 distinct meals, supper being earlier rather than later, no eating between meals or after dinner, eating meals with other people, not alone - usually family members, school or work mates. No snacking with the possible exception of a piece of fruit or some nuts if there was too much time until the next meal. Beverages were water. Everything else was either considered food (milk) or special treat (cola, fruit juice). I only knew one family that broke these traditions. (Close family friends.) Every member of the family was obese.
There wasn't much ready-to-eat (snack) food available then. Food had to be prepared by a member of the family. People were more frugal then. One didn't "waste money" on already prepared food that offered no nutritional value.
Children did not get special meals. Kids didn't have to like the cabbage, onions, and potatoes for dinner and usually weren't required to eat it. But no more food would be available until the next meal, usually more than 14 hours later. Not punishment, just part of the learning process.
