I'd like tips on dressing stylishly, yet in an age-appropriate way.
I love scents! For years I wore Chanel Coco Mademoiselle and the classic Burberry, but a couple of years ago I decided to switch to more natural beauty products, so now I wear a simple jasmine oil that I found at Whole Foods. It's just a single note, but I love how it smells on me.
As for your question: this might sound odd, but I'd love to read about how to maintain an "age-appropriate" home (in terms of style and cleanliness) without being a slave to it. I'm 26 and struggling with this somewhat!

Honestly, I'm not quite to 40 yet, but I'd love tons of tips on aging gracefully. In particular, I think I'd like tips on dressing stylishly. I've never been overly comfortable with my wardrobe, so I'll take any help I can get.
I can never get enough of these kinds of books! As for scents, I used to be a wearer of Dior's 'Pure Poison' for the longest time, but since moving to America I have found it to be so much more expensive over here! Sadly I haven't found anything quite as much 'me' to replace it with, so I'm carefully stretching out my very last bottle for now!
My comment for the competition(as opposed to my general comment above that I already made!); The thing I am most interested in learning about with regards to aging appropriately, is how to wear color without looking like a teenage fashion slave... I'm only 26 but I struggle with this already!
I've never had a signature scent but I often mix up essential oil blends and wear that. Perhaps it's time to settle in with one!
I have been a huge fan of all things perfume since I was 12! (Dior's Dolce Vita mini was my first perfume). I am currently in search for a signature scent, but, alas perfumes nowadays seem to target really young crowd with sickly sweet candy like notes :( I did check out Stella after you mentioned it, it's a nice scent.
I am very interested in discovering mature style icons who adhere to classic styles in fashion, hair and make-up. Very interested in any information regarding one's "second act." In life.

I love Chanel Gardenia and Kenzo Flower. I have to check out Stella as it sounds like a floral scent I might enjoy. As for aging gracefully...I turn 38 next month, I've noticed my skin is getting the first fine lines. So skincare is important. Dry skin is an issue for me and I found a good moisturizer from Kiehls, so that helps. I also wonder about hair style. I have a wedge bob right now, but miss my longer ponytail. Should I grow my hair back? All my friends and family love my shorter bob, but I miss putting my hair up. I have always done my hair in updos.
I'm interested in learning how to evolve your style as you age.
I love scents too! Right now I am in love with Jo Malone "Red Roses", but I am also partial to Gardenia fragrances such as "White Gardenia Petals" by Illuminium.

Hearing your talk reminded me of when I was 18 and I was debating with my best friend which scent would be my "signature scent". It was between a raspberry and a peach and I chose peach. I wore that non stop for years-- any version (oils, Victoria's Secret, Body Shop, etc). I'm sure my college boyfriend even now cannot smell it without thinking of me.
Sadly, my husband is asthmatic and can't stand strong scents at all. I have found that "Amazing Grace" by Philosophy is one that is delicious, clean and can be worn without worry. My MIL gave it to me because she heard it's a scent that fellow nurses are allowed to wear without fear of disturbing patients.

When I was sixteen, i received as a gift Miss Dior, which I found to be wonderful. In my Thirties it was Paloma Picasso, now Chanel No 5 . Fun to reflect !

I've been reading Tish's blog for several years and I'm really looking forward to adding her book to my bookshelf, right next to Madame Chic!
I'm in the right demographic, so I'll be taking it all onboard.
My signature scents were Eau D'Hadrian by Annick Goutal in the morning and Narcisse Noir by Caron in the evening.
I say were because a few years ago everything was reformulated, I have the new formulate stuff and I wear it but it's not the same. I have some old formula that I keep for special occasions.
I also use Neutrogena's sesame oil and Kama Sutra's Honey Dust Powder so that can all be layered into the mix as well.
I am looking for a new fragrance but I prefer the old world ones from before 1959 and don't like modern technology ones as much.
I would like to know about age-appropriate dressing at every age.

I tried Rose Essentielle at your recommendation; it turned out to be a favorite and I wear it almost daily. Another that I really like is very different and unique - Guerlain Mandarine Basilic, hints of citrus and basil.

My signature scent was Chanel No. 5 and I , too, changed it about 5 years ago to Burberry Sheer. I found Burberry to be more..me. I have read Forever chic and love it and look forward to trying your book now that I have discovered it!

I love all things French and read every book I can on French Style. Forever Chic is full of wonderful tips for women of a certain age and since I am of that age I am drinking it in! The concepts seem to build from what is in Madame Chic which I loved as well. Can't wait to read your next book!!

I seem to have schizophrenic tastes when it comes to scents. Depending on season, setting, or just my mood, I want to smell like something different! Always something spicy or woodsy, though... So maybe my signature scent is an entire genre of scents?
I usually stick with a signature fragrance for about 5 years, and then move on to a new one. During that time, though, I can't imagine wearing something else. I have always been drawn to vanilla and musk, so my past two scents have been Dior Addict and Kenzo Amour. I just found my new scent, Olivine's Oxley. I've never used a perfume oil before, and I'm in love with it. Feels so luxurious.
I love scents with sandalwood notes. They remind me of my mother. She has always worn Caswell-Massey's.
My other favorite is Chanel No. 19. The ads from the 1970s must have formed my impressionable young mind (and nose?) because its scent epitomizes chic to me.

My signature scent has been Karl Lagerfeld's Chloe for about 30 years. I also love Chanel No. 5.
My favorite scent has to have rose in it, so I really like for the winter time from L'Occitane 4 Reines y en primavera Pivoine.

I have always loved the green scents. My old favorite was Vent Vert, Balmain, but it disappeared. Then, when they brought it back, it had changed. Something was "off" about it, so no more Vent Vert. Now, I use three Jo Malones, but I like the "Body Cremes" worn on my chest and neck, rather than the sprays. The scent lingers longer, and blends into my skin. Favorite: Lime Basil & Mandarin. Mmmmm. Second Place: Orange Blossom. Third Place: Grapefruit.
But I'd love recommendations for more green fragrances!
I have worn Samsara by Guerlain for over 20 years... my second runner up is Champs Elysees- also by Guerlain..

A few years ago for my wedding, I decided to honor the day with a new scent, and I've been wearing it ever since. I sniffed many a perfume but didn't settle until I found the perfect one to capture the day for me. The winner that I still love and wear is Lanvin Eclat d'Arpege.
I love gardenia scents.
