Merry Christmas Message, Presentable Pajamas & More

'Tis the week of Christmas... can you believe it? I've been having so much fun catching up with visiting family members that this blog is a little bit late.

Last night I attended the LA Ballet's performance of the Nutcracker with the girls at London Sole.

It was a brilliant performance, as ever. I especially enjoyed seeing principal dancer, Allyssa Bross, as the Rose during the dance of the flowers. I got to meet Allyssa at the Santa Monica Art Walk several months ago. She charmed the audience with her beautiful dancing.

This week's video message gives you my good tidings for the season and also shows you my houseguest appropriate presentable pajamas: the Victoria's Secret Sleepover pajama. It is very common this time of year to either be a houseguest yourself or to have people staying over in your home, and it's nice to have pajamas that you'd be happy to be seen in!

I will be taking a short break from the blog in the next two weeks. I hope you have a magnificent holiday break as well.

If you'd like to join us for our next book club, don't forget to pick up The Untethered Soul by Michael A. Singer. We will be starting the book club discussion in late February, so there is plenty of time to read it.

Please watch this week's video to hear my holiday message to you. If you are unable to see the video above, click here, look in the sidebar of the blog, or visit my channel: www.youtube.com/TheDailyConnoisseur.

In case you missed my three holiday hair tutorials filmed at BYUTI salon, you can find them all in my article on Huffington Post Style.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. See you in 2014!

We had to miss out annual trip the The Nutcracker as we had an ice storm. So I shall live vicariously. Happy holidays!

Have to agree with previous comment. I am now in a rhythm with orchids, sleep wear, aprons, 15 minute bursts of organization, looking presentable, my clarisonic, etc… You have been an inspiration and I have given your gift to many many friends this past year. Merry Merry. Here's to a peaceful few weeks off.
P.S. Oh, and I just ordered the VS pajamas!

Merry Christmas and best wishes for 2014!! I'm sitting in my garden (it's summer in Australia) with a cup of green tea and some well- earnt peace and quiet after a whirlwind few days of over-excited children :) I'm proud to say I enjoyed Christmas 100% without overindulging. It's been great sharing your journey this year and I've learnt a lot. I can understand you must feel swamped with work and family but I hope you'll keep up your blog even if it's casual chats rather than more labour intensive videos. Looking forward to your new book! Jane xx

When you consider stopping your blog - know that you've inspired me to reach my 'tipping point'.

The year of 2014 is going to be my year to STOP THE INSANITY.

When I went through my wardrobe and whittled down to only my 'favorites, I still have TOO MANY CLOTHES. Instead of one plaid shirt…I had 8. Instead of 2 pairs of jeans I had 6….and so on. So….I am whittling down even more and dividing up my clothes into seasons and made the resolution TO NOT BUY ANYTHING IN 2014. [Unless it is replacement socks, tights, or underwear.] THAT IS MY NEW YEAR'S FOCUS - TO STOP THE INSANITY of browsing online clothes FOR FUN. Browsing leads to sales, and the pressure to 'not miss out'. I am taking your words to heart and trying to live with less clutter, less accumulation, and live SIMPLY. THANK YOU for YOUR encouragement!! Happy New Year.

My family and I attended the Boston Ballet Nutcracker this season and it was stunning, I was blown away! I had been searching for new pajamas, ordered these on your recommendation, and loved them so much I ordered a second pair. I wonder what percentage of the sales for this set were your readers. :)
