Life Updates: Homeschool, Channel News, Weight Loss

Today I'm giving an update on our homeschool routine as well as sharing channel news, and more. I hope you enjoy today's video

Homeschool: We are in our 5th year of homeschooling and continue to love this versatile and joyful way of learning. Due to my changed work schedule, however, as well as adding a new student this year (my son is now in kindergarten), we decided to make some strategic changes. We have a private tutor helping us with the homeschooling which has lightened our load and also provided a wonderful challenge for the kids. Learn about all the details in today's video.

Channel news: We are so happy to have hit 200,000 subscribers! Thank you to our wonderful viewers! I feel that the Daily Connoisseur content is relevant now more than ever with the message to keep calm and remain classy. Today's video discusses the role that sponsors play in the channel and how I always aim for transparency.

Weight Loss: I have been documenting my health journey with intermittent fasting on the channel and blog and one thing is for sure: many lives have been changed for the better! I have countless comments, emails, and testimonials from people who have found benefits from the fasting lifestyle. Others are not happy with the content and I address the controversies today.

Yes, Roopali! That was my favorite take-away from the 3 Articles on Dress video and truly what should ultimately bring people out of Goblin Mode.

I hope you enjoyed today's video.

Hello Jennifer,

I’m very surprised to hear that some people are not happy with your intermittent fasting content. When I heard that you lost weight while eating ice cream and shortbread, I felt I had to try it! I have been doing it for two weeks now, and I can already feel a difference. I’m so glad you introduced me to this realistic, sustainable, and healthy way of eating! 🙂

Thank you, 😊
Alexandra

Wow, Jennifer! Like Alexandra, I'm very surprised that people would complain about your content. If they don't enjoy a certain topic, why don't they just watch something else? I think most of us are involved with your channel (some of us for many years now!) because we trust your judgement, are interested in what you have to say and find that it enhances our own lives. Personally, I would never have known about intermittent fasting if not for you, and the very first day you mentioned it, I thought it made a lot of sense and began a shorter fast, which has now increased to about 15 hours. But more generally, I applaud your resolve to continue in the directions you feel called, and I admire your ability to persist in that despite some negative feedback. Good for you!

Every blessing,
Susanne

Hello Jennifer,

Thank you for your latest video. I have been sifting over the question of what our school year will look like next year. We have done some of everything now, homeschool, private, public, hybrid--and! I am back in school working on my bachelor's degree one class at a time. We have one kiddo with some learning disabilies who needs "more."

I woke up this morning and you had come to mind very much out of the blue, so I went and checked your channel--somehow with the hunch that it related to school. Sure enough, that's what your topic was! So interesting that hiring a private tutor in addition to the in-home instruction, online classes and enrichment is what you described because that is one of the things that came to mind only in the past week. While I wouldn't say I've reached the exact answer for what next year looks like, I am intrigued that this seems to be a touch of "guidance" as it were. My experience throughout my life has been that sometimes this is how answers come to us when we are really looking for one. Just wanted to share that with you and say, Thank You! All the best to you and your family!

I watched your videos on 2 year anniversary of intermittent fasting, portion control, 2 days of meals. I’m 5’5” and weighed 131 lbs 3 weeks ago. I can’ t exercise because I had foot fusion 2 months ago. I started intermittent fasting 3 weeks ago through a company that provides meals, exercise, information. I weighed 120.5 lbs this morning. This is my dilemma: I don’t snack. Never have. I eat breakfast at 9:00, lunch at noon, dinner between 5 & 6. I am watching the portions. The plan I purchase ends next week. I want to eat some Mexican food again. What is your advice on how to do that? Also, how often can I have a glass of wine or mixed drink? I have always drank black coffee and water but do like an occasional glass of wine or margarita. I would like to get below 120 lbs and stay there.
