# The Top 20 Things I Learned While Living in Paris

Coming Up on The Daily Connoisseur

Thank you to everyone for your comments, input and support for my Top 20 Things I Learned While Living in Paris series. It was a lot of fun to write and as I have mentioned before you can expect the book version (where I will delve deeply into each topic) to be available at a future date.

So what’s coming up on The Daily Connoisseur?

The month of February will mainly be devoted to the 10 Item Wardrobe. Many of you expressed interest in this topic. I will be sharing my notes with you on what happened when I personally converted (and it is an interesting tale!)… I also will have a surprise guest writer who’ll be giving a gentleman’s perspective of a 10 Item Wardrobe.

Other posts I have in the works include further explorations on the topics of: cultivating an air of mystery, le no makeup look, combating clutter, and my notes on not snacking. As well as new topics such as French household efficiency, diet techniques and my search for a new signature perfume.

There will also be book and product reviews as well as interviews from connoisseurs in the professional world of skincare, haircare and makeup.

And as always, if you have any requests for future posts, please leave them in the comment section or email me at: jenncouture (at) gmail (dot) com . I have had a few requests already, which I will be addressing in the future- I love getting letters from my readers!

Thanks again and I hope you are enjoying a happy and prosperous New Year.

Bisous,

Jennifer xx

What an interesting menu coming up for us! Love reading your blog Jennifer, it all makes such good sense but I need to be reminded (often). I would love to hear how you instill these French values with your children. I try to enhance my daughters lives but there are probably so many things I'm missing.

Your 'Living in Paris' posts were outstanding. I learned a lot and felt inspiration from your Paris observations. I've always known I was French in another life...

Thank you - well done!

Can't wait to read what's coming. My 2 1/2 year old daughter saw Gatsby's photo and said he needs to wear that heart on a necklace.. ;)

Here's a question for you. I know that quality over quantity is the way to a French woman's wardrobe. You read in loads of places about spending the most you can afford on various pieces. My question is, how do you decide how much you can afford? All your savings? What's left at the end of the month? A portion of your clothing allowance? How does one set the clothing allowance and how does one decide what proportion of it will go for a given piece? I think this is important info for a world gone mad with spending.

Ditto Shelley's comment! I would like some direction on this also.

Thanks again for your Living in Paris series...I was paid a very nice compliment last weekend at a birthday party, one of the people there commented me on my "French style" - that completely took me by surprise! Maybe it was my scarf, who knows? :)

I wholly agree with everyone else's comments, and sincerely hope you've inked that book deal...I would love a copy for myself and for my teen daughters! The topics you'll explore, just as your French Living series, are precisely the advice I;ve tried to follow myself for some time, and it's so heartening to see what support you've gained for these ideas. Merci et bonne chance!

I can't wait for more posts- I really enjoyed all the French life ones so always welcome any more accnecdotes from your time there- and some sunshine for us Brits would be lovely- so any tales from closer to home would be nice too.
