Hello, dear readers. We are currently in England visiting family. The day we arrived, my wonderful father-in-law, Ben’s stepfather, John Winkworth, passed away unexpectedly at home. I feel tremendously blessed to have been able to see him one more time and spend time with him right before he passed away. I had planned to continue filming videos for this channel while in England, but all of that has taken a very necessary pause as I grieve with family, give support to my husband, my mother-in-law, Jane, and help plan the funeral. I have pre-recorded two videos back in America that I have scheduled to be published (this is one of them), but I won’t be engaging in the comments and then there will be a brief break. Thank you for your understanding during this difficult time. Ben and I appreciate you all very much. I truly hope you enjoy today's topic as it means a lot to me. Today is my birthday and you know how much I love roses... And now onto the video and post...

Thank you to everyone for both the birthday wishes and the condolences on the passing of my father-in-law. I appreciate you. This video is very special to me and that is why I wanted to publish it on my birthday. I hope you derive as much joy from them as I do. I have pre-recorded an outfits of the week video that will go up on Thursday and then I will be taking a brief break. Thank you for your understanding. I hope this video blesses you. Love, Jennifer

I'm so sorry to hear of your family's sudden loss. What a blessing that you were there and are able to provide support for Ben and your mother-in-law. Try to enjoy a happy birthday, too, remembering that sorrow and joy co-exist and that we must be prepared to participate fully in both as they are presented to us. God bless you and your family, Jennifer. Susanne
I wish to express my sympathy on the sudden loss of your father-in-law. I am sure your presence will be a comfort to Ben and his mother. I also want to wish you a Happy Birthday. I hope the natural joy that children find in birthdays will enable you to celebrate your special day with lots of love. Bless you all!
My condolences once again to your family. I've thought about you all many times this week.
I loved this video and all the meditations. Very lovely. I received my Victoria magazine yesterday, which is also very rose-focused, so - good timing! :)
Dear Jenifer,
What deeply loving words you wrote about your extraordinary and wonderful father-in-law, John, Ben's stepfather. I send my deepest condolences to all of you: Ben, his mother Jane and your entire family. Please know that you and Ben are cared for by many. In the midst of all of this, I hope you found some sweet happiness on your birthday. Best wishes to you in the coming year.
Take good care, always,
Vicki XO
P. S. We do not grieve without first loving. We do not love without gaining more than we could ever lose.
P. P. S. I treasured your rose meditations so much and shared your post with others.
