Sibu Beauty All Natural Skincare

This week I have an exciting skincare review for you. Sibu Beauty sent me three items from their all natural skincare line to review on The Daily Connoisseur. I received the items a few months ago and have since had a chance to fully experience their benefits.

Sibu Beauty skincare is all natural and uses the ancient Sea Buckthorn Berry as its star ingredient. I’d never heard of this berry before but then I googled it and read several articles on its miraculous healing and anti-aging properties. Naturally, I became intrigued.

After using the Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser, Hydrating Serum and Replenishing Night Cream (pictured above) the first evening, I awoke the next day to find my skin was almost a completely different texture. It felt smooth, tight and hydrated. This is the first time I’ve ever used skincare products and seen such drastic results after only one day- I was even more intrigued! I then used the cleanser, serum and night cream trio every night for the next month and a half all the way through my England trip and was so pleased with the results I’m going to call this a Holy Grail beauty find! I love that it is all natural, smells divine and performs really well with my skin.

Unfortunately Sibu is only shipping to the United States and Canada at the moment. For customers in the UK they are available at Victoria Health. For all others that are unable to get the products, I would recommend contacting Sibu Beauty directly and requesting they ship to your country or to stockists in your area. Perhaps if the demand is there they will supply!

The Sea Buckthorn Balancing Facial Cleanser
sells for $17.95

The Sea Buckthorn Hydrating Serum sells for $39.95

The Sea Buckthorn Replenishing Night Cream sells for $34.95

They sell all three in their Luxe Kit for $89.95

Hi Jennifer,

I love your blog and your youtube channel, and can't wait for your book to come out!

Oh you got me so interested to try this beauty line! I grew up in Russian Far East (very close to Japan) and actually am very familiar with this berry - it is known for its great healing features and is loaded with vitamin C. My mother used to put the jam made from this berry to my tea or make ointments with it. The berry smells and tastes really nice.
I have a couple of questions though, as I have very oily sensitive skin which breaks out often. Was your skin more oily after using this line? Did you have any breakouts? Do you use the cleanser with your Mia?

Thank you.

Yana- Thank you very much! I'm meeting more and more people who have heard of the Sea Buckthorn berry. Where has it been all my life? And I love that your mother used it in jam and herbal remedies. The company also sells vitamins and juices that I am very interested in trying. To answer your questions- I also have very sensitive, combination skin that tends to break out. My skin was not more oily after using the product and I had no breakouts. The serum and cream actually made my skin feel tight (but not dry)... they are really lovely products. And even though the cleanser has small granules in it I still use it with my Clarisonic. They work really well together. I hope that helps! Let me know what you think if you try the products! xo

Found your blog through an Amazon recommendation for your book since I've read Entree Nous at least 3 or 4 times. Love the premise of the French lifestyle. But, to the point, saw your Sibu reviews and had just read an article in Town & Country about this line and the country the berry grows in. Since I'm redoing my skin care for the New Year, your review gave me the push to order the night cream through Amazon in addition to your book....looking forward to receiving both! Going to be 60 this month, and I'm trying to live by the motto to "Live a Simple Life Surrounded By Beautiful Things". Keep up the inspiration! Thanks, Geri

Geri- Happy upcoming birthday! I hope you enjoy both the book and the Sibu cream. It is always a good idea to change your skincare routine up every now and then so your skin doesn't become accustom to the products and is kept on its 'toes' so to speak:) I'm sure you will love the night cream as much as I do. Happy new year to you- love your motto for turning 60...

Jennifer, I just got the Sibu night cream and I was surprised to find it very thick and not very creamy at all. Is that how you found it? It's so odd, I'm wondering if I got a bad jar!

Hi Melissa- The Sibu night cream definitely has a strange consistency- I was thrown off by it first. It is very thick but a little goes a long way. I tend to find that natural skincare products aren't as traditionally creamy as we are used to because they don't contain the chemicals that make the creams 'creamy' in texture. Definitely give it a try and hopefully you will love the cream as much as I do! Let me know...

Jennifer,

You have officially convinced me to upgrade my skin care. Yesterday I ordered the Sibu products as well as a Clarisonic Mia. I cannot wait to try them, and I hope they work as well for me as they do for you. You are my new beauty product muse! Thank you.

Maureen- Wonderful! I hope you love it all. I am still using Sibu in combination with the Paula's Choice products and my skin is very happy. Also still love the Clarisonic too. Let us know how you like them!
