I recently visited Natasha Sunshine at Byu-ti Salon in Brentwood for a haircut. My hair had been feeling dull and lifeless to date and I was looking for a new direction to take my cut and style.
I always recommend bringing an image to your stylist to communicate your vision easily. This time I brought an image from the book, How to Look Expensive: A Beauty Editor's Secrets to Getting Gorgeous without Breaking the Bank by Andrea Pomerantz Lustig (which, by the way, I highly recommend!) to my hair appointment.
Watch my video above to see my new cut, hear the blow dry tip I learned from Natasha for sleek hair, and other hair related chat. If you are unable to see the embedded video, click here, look in the sidebar of this blog, or visit my channel: www.youtube.com/TheDailyConnoisseur

Your haircut is wonderful, so chic and sleek. It looks great on you. My hair style is a shoulder lenght blunt cut (no layers) but I have been craving a new look recently, nothing to drastic. Congratulations to Laura for winning!!
Great Haircut. I tried blow drying my hair the way you demonstrated. I need more practice.
Congrats to Laura.

Congratulations to Laura!
Your haircut, Jennifer, is very pretty and flattering too! I have been wearing my hair very long for several years now. It is between my mid back and waist. I grew it out while working at a movie studio in Burbank because all the actresses were wearing extensions in order to have long hair. I was going to cut it last year for a milestone birthday but my hairdresser refused to cut it! So, I am wearing chignons and loving it.
Thank you so much! I feel so lucky!! :-)
Great advise about blow drying your hair, Jennifer. I have to try this new technique.
That's a great haircut and a wonderful tip on how to blow dry. Shall definitely try it to see its effects on me ;-)
So pretty, Jennifer!
Your new cut really suits you it is very soft and looks so healthy.
You are what I would call a yummy mummy!
Love the haircut. I am going for a Brazilian Blowout next week and hope to achieve similar results. I also ordered the book. Thanks for sharing!
