In this week's video I show you the contents of our refrigerator on a typical weeknight. We are a family of four with my husband, my toddler, my baby and me (oh yes, and Gatsby!), so the contents of the fridge reflect all of our likes. For example, my husband loves the Skippy smooth peanut butter and won't have anything else. Same with the Yoplait yogurt... I have a few musts as well.
You'll also notice the Bio-K probiotics I have. I find that since I started drinking this friendly bacteria my digestive health has seriously improved. Also worth noting are our two drawers of vegetables. We receive a vegetable box once a week delivered fresh from our local farm (Farm Fresh To You for those of you in Los Angeles). I love getting creative with ways to cook the seasonal veggies.
At the time of shooting this video there is no meat in the fridge. We usually eat meat (fish, chicken or a roast- a must for my husband!) around three times a week and I try to buy it as fresh as possible.
Another thing to note is I usually prefer to make my own pie crusts but on busy weeknights it is nice to have a pre-prepared one handy for making savory tarts or that strawberry pie...

Mine is similar, too.
We only drink organic skim milk since my youngest turned 5 (she's 17). Our yogurt is plain organic, I dislike any flavourings. My husband will eat fruit yogurt and my daughter likes coconut flavour, too :)
Lots of berries - I adore berries, but also rhubarb right now, as it's in season. I chop, heat till it softens and we like it with a little brown sugar and natural yogurt for dessert. Or a pie/tart. Also great with strawberries - that is one of our favourite jams...
Loads of veg, too - right now, aubergine, mushrooms, carrots, radishes, bell peppers (lots, we eat them like apples), kohlrabi, herbs (parsley, chives...), rocket salad, red cabbage, avocado etc.
Some fresh meat for tomorrow, chicken this time. Eggs, lots of organic eggs - omelettes, poached, egg salad, yum!
Also always at least one bottle of good champagne LOL! And there's some wines in there, too, that need chilled, like sweet dessert wine.
We have organic butter, some fresh mozzarella, whole parmesan and feta.
No other drinks in the fridge because we drink mineral water or lightly flavoured water (we use sirups like lemon or elderflower).
At the top of our fridge is our mini-freezer that is presently housing garden peas, beans, some spare fondue cheese, yeast (I bake bread), homemade soup, mincemeat (portioned) and a few ice cubes.
Lunch today was potato salad with smoked trout and dinner was a veggie curry (sweet potato and aubergine), delish!
I think that's about it - my Swiss fridge!!

You have a lot of stuff inside your fridge, keep storing healthy stuff there. Remember that you need to be always healthy and fit. My alternative treatments to cancer center used to advice the same things to me.
That made me smile! In a non-creepy-stalker way I feel we're often on the same wave length. This morning I was having my morning cup of tea contemplating my day. Tuesday is a cleaning and tidying up and organising day for me. My husband does the school run and I actually do enjoy getting some exercise from cleaning, a feeling of achievement from tidying and sorting (and throwing away as necessary without children of husband there to complain) and then I end with a face mask, shower and at- home manicure. Lovely! I usually do 1 larger type job a week and today was going to be cleaning out the fridge. That's why I laughed. I checked my email as I had my tea (bad multi tasking I know!!) and there was a message from you about your fridge. And it's SO clean!!! Is it always that clean and organised? Mind is now but it wasn't earlier in the day. Thanks for some added inspiration.
Re: fridge contents, mine are pretty similar. Lot of organic vege, less fruit as its winter in Australia, cheese, Greek natural yoghurt, beef mince (kids want burgers tonight), salmon, milk, mustards, eggs, dark chocolate (probably shouldn't still be in fridge but moved there during the hot summer), cream, mayonnaise, puréed chicken for my baby ect etc. not overly exciting but oh-so neat now :-)

I loved this video and loved your book. Would you consider doing a video about dinners? I would love to know what a weekly menu looks like at your house. I am often stumped when combining kids tastes, a meat-eating husband, and my own interest in nice flavors and being healthy.

My fridge looks almost identical, even down to the brands. Funny. Maybe because I'm in California also? I love seeing little bits of other people's daily lives like this. It is so interesting.

My fridge is absent of meat, too, right now. Mostly because I'm trying to eat less of it and also because I am "empty-nesting" for the first time.
Mostly what you would see if you could have a peek would be strawberries, blueberries, raspberries (mostly organic); grapefruit, lemons, limes, apples; tomatoes, lettuce, peppers, red onion, garlic, avocadoes, cilantro; organic 1% milk, mozzarella, herbed chevre, greek yogurt, butter; organic eggs; a bit of wine left in a bottle, lemonade tea, bottled water.
So, not so incredibly different:) Do you dine out frequently or would you say you dine in mostly?

Would you also provide your recipe for creamy veggie soup? It would be great to have a plan for produce that starts to go wilty. I love seeing inside people's fridges for some reason. I'm a fridge voyeur. :)
