# 10 Item Wardrobe # look presentable always

One Week of Outfits from My Ten-Item Wardrobe | Jennifer L. Scott

I'm showing you my weekday outfits in today's video. There are so many exciting things going on this week! (Ha! I'm actually kidding.) We are homeschooling, cleaning and working this week and you get to see how I dress through it all.

This is a very typical week for us. I wanted to keep this video very authentic and accurate so I did not do any extra styling. My outfits are simple, yet work well for my daily activities.

I hope you enjoy today's video.

Comment of the Week
Magan L writes, "I am late with this, but I think it's worth saying. The attention you have paid to wearing quality garments over the last several years is reaping benefits. You can shop on a site like zulily because you know what brands fit you, have the quality you desire and. You also seem to pay attention to the fabrics that fit your lifestyle. I'm afraid I have not been that observant, so my clothing budget will buy less. I did visit zulily and I saw a favorite item of mine that gets TONS of compliments. (Something I bought at a CABI party two years ago.) And it was on zulily for about 1/3 of what I paid for it. How delighted I am that I can share that information with those who would like this garment! (Note to self: since I wear it A LOT, maybe I'll share it with friends in another city!!) Anyway, I am glad to see that the attention you have paid to what you have bought over the years has allowed you to use your clothing budget to create the wardrobe you love for this fall/winter. Thank you for encouraging us to be thoughtful and observant shoppers AND creating a less stressful wardrobe."

Hi Magan, thank you for your input. Your observations are very accurate! Fabrics that fit my lifestyle are a true must for me right now as you will see in today's video. Thanks for commenting.

I hope you enjoyed today's post. Let me know how you dress to suit your lifestyle in the comment section below. Your comment could be chosen as comment of the week on the blog!

Thank you Jennifer for an overview of your week. Not all glamorous but good to see real life daily activities that make your life relatable even with your being a best-selling author! You are always inspiring.

Thank you Jennifer for your continued openness and sharing your genuine approach to life! It’s always a welcome encouragement and provides inspiration to my life. Your little guy is so handsome - love his new cut!

Hello Jennifer,
Thanks for your video. Your life is similar to mine in terms of errands, cooking, cleaning and children, which is comforting. I don't think you need to apologize for any lack of excitement. I believe that being a mother and homemaker are extremely exciting privileges. Just think of how many women would like to be in your shoes, but for one reason or another, they can't. It is also exciting to present oneself in a nice way. I feel that, again, this video touches on the core of your original message, which (as I understand it) is that a chic life involves routines and responsibilities. Madame Chic was very chic; an essential part of her was she did a lot of cooking and cleaning around the house and many errands around town.
Warm best,
Alexandra

I loved this slice of life! I was happy to have a few moments this afternoon to watch this video. I'm inspired to post about a week of my own wardrobe, with a very similar life (cleaning, cooking, parenting, homeschooling, errands!) in a very different climate (there's snow on the ground here). I may think on this and do it this month.

Your clothes are comfortable, perfectly presentable, pretty, and perfectly suited to your season of life. That's chic!

Thank you for sharing. As I'm sure many of your readers feel, it would be wonderful if we could know one another in real life! I have a 7-year-old son who is homeschooled, and we participate in a sort of hybrid private school/homeschool co-op called Classical Conversations (where he learns American history, science, geography, math, a timeline of world history, English grammar, and Latin). I also nanny for my cousin who has 2 boys, ages 16 months and 3 months. I find I always feel better when I dress nicely, even when that means I need to change my top once during the day after getting food or spit up (or worse!) on it. I have a question for you: I would love to know where your rug is from! The one seen when you point the camera down at your shoes. Would you be willing to share that source? As always, I look forward to your next video!

The beauty of this is that you have gracefully adapted your clothing and lifestyle to your current stage of life. The fact that you are honest about this even though it appears less glamorous is truly inspiring and refreshing. Thank you for exemplifying beautiful femininity!

Hi ladies, thank you so much for your comments. I had fun shooting this video and even though I joke that my life is not very exciting I wouldn't have it any other way! :) Taylorcait, the rug is from Ikea.

I love connecting with all of you homeschool moms out there too. Thank you for reaching out!

Thank you so much for watching.
Love, Jennifer
