Intermittent Fasting One Year Update - My Surprising Results

It's been nearly a year since I began intermittent fasting. Reflecting on this past year and the changes that have occurred, I am truly amazed.

I go over everything with you in detail in today's video, including the rather surprising weight loss. This video and blogpost is intended for entertainment purposes only and is not meant to be medical advice. If you are interested in trying intermittent fasting, do seek the consult of your physician first.

I will not write a lengthy blogpost for this topic, as the video is somewhat long... Here are the time stamps if you wish to skip ahead... or focus on a particular subject:

Lynn from SoCal writes, "Hi Jennifer, your cleaning videos always make me want to clean. Thank you for the inspiration!

I have been struggling with knee pain and fatigue lately so the cleaning has been put on the back burner (luckily, I live alone so only I have to see the dirt).

Under normal circumstances when I struggle to get the motivation to clean, I put on some fast-paced music (or even Bach's Cello Suite No 1 in G Major - this always gets me going)and mix myself a cocktail. For some reason, a cocktail always makes cleaning more fun!"

Hi Lynn, I hope your knee pain subsides soon! I agree with the music and the special treat! I have never cleaned with a cocktail, but it sounds fancy!

I hope you enjoyed today's video. If you have any questions about intermittent fasting that you'd like me to address in a future video, please leave them in the comments. Have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Jennifer,
Congratulation on your success with IF. Just wondering if you drank wine/alcohol during your year of intermittent fasting. Thank you.

Jennifer,
Thank you so much for sharing the details of your year of IF with us. After you mentioned that you were doing it, I watched several of Jason Fung’s videos and read his book, The Obesity Code. Like you, I’ve never been really overweight but felt like I’d like to lose 10 pounds or so. I’ve been doing IF for about three months and haven’t noticed a big drop on the scales yet but I feel smaller and better in my clothes. I just feel healthier and more energetic in general. A lot of little aches and pains have disappeared. Whether I ever really change the numbers on the scale or not, I think it’s worth doing IF because I feel so much better. As you said, it’s not really that drastic but it keeps me from snacking at night and helps me eat better quality food. Thank you for all the wonderful content you put online and for all your efforts to add more class and elegance to our world. Charlene

Hi Jennifer, thank you for this video. Are you still working out regularly on your rebounder?

Your results are impressive! Dropping pounds is such a great feeling. I’m curious as to Dr. Fung’s response to your question, but you may wish to switch to a 14/10 schedule. You can continue to get all the good health benefits of a fast while adding a few more calories (ideally) so that your weight can stabilize and not continue to drop. Every successful transformation/weight loss plan involves this adjustment, tweaking the method that has caused weight loss to instead put the body into maintenance mode, and it’s best done gradually so the body has time to adjust. So I think a 14/10 could wrk very well for you.

Hi everyone, Thanks so much for your messages. I have been trying to leave a comment here but so far it has been unsuccessful, but I am trying again. I appreciate all of your feedback. The response from the IF video has been so great! To answer some of your questions: I do not drink soda. For exercise, I walk and jump on the rebounder, but nothing else.

Polly, 14/10 sounds like a good idea!

Thank you so much for watching!

Love, Jennifer
