Reviewing Mrs. Meyer's New Rain Water Scent | Natural Home with Jennifer

5:21 AM 4 Comments

It's time for another Mrs. Meyer's review, this time of her newest scent, Rain Water.

Rain Water is a very pleasant, mild, subtle scent that is really nice for the transition from winter to spring. It reminds me of Issey Miyake's L'eau D'Issey (although I couldn't remember that while I was speaking :) )

I hope you enjoy my quick review in today's video.

This scent can only be found at Grove Collaborative currently. I'm passing on Grove's February special to you here:

New customers receive: Mrs. Meyer's Hand Soap, Mrs. Meyer's Dish Soap, Seedling Paper Towels, Seedling Bath Tissue, Grove Walnut Scrubber Sponges
Free Shipping & VIP Trial when you spend $20.

Existing Customer Offer:
Grove Walnut Scrubber Sponges

The Seedling paper towels and bath tissue are made of bamboo. I haven't tried them yet but have an order on the way. Let me know if you like them!

If you've tried the new Mrs. Meyer's rain water, please leave your thoughts in the comments. Thank you and I'll see you on Thursday for a fun collaboration video with Robin from Faith and Flour!

Reviewing Mrs. Meyer's Holiday Scents + a Trip to Riley's Farm | Natural Home with Jennifer

6:29 AM 8 Comments

On today's Natural Home with Jennifer, I'm reviewing the Mrs. Meyer's limited edition holiday scents. I'm also sharing Grove Collaborative's November special with you, and taking you on a trip to Riley's Farms in beautiful Oak Glen, California.

There are three holiday scents in the Mrs. Meyer's line this year: Iowa Pine, Peppermint, and Orange Clove.

Iowa Pine smells very much like the Bath & Bodyworks candle, Fresh Balsam. It smells like a sweet, fresh Christmas tree. The scent is subtle and I love it.

Orange Clove has a delightfully rich orange essence with a spicy hint of clove. If you love the smell of pomanders at Christmastime, you would love this scent.

Peppermint is very pure and true. It smells like a peppermint candy with a hint of vanilla. It's peppy and fun.

I took the family consensus and we all liked Iowa Pine the best but the other two scents were a close second.

I hope you enjoy today's video.

Here are the details for Grove's November promotion:

Right now, you can get a free Mrs. Meyer's holiday trio in your choice of scents (Iowa Pine, Peppermint, or Orange Clove), plus a free set of Grove Collaborative walnut scrubber sponges — all packed up in a limited edition red cleaning caddy for gifting (or keeping!).
New customers will get the holiday set when you place your first order of $20:
Free Mrs. Meyer's holiday hand soap
Free Mrs. Meyer's holiday dish soap
Free Mrs. Meyer's holiday multi-surface spray
Grove Collaborative red caddy
Grove Collaborative walnut scrubber sponges

Plus, if you spend $39, you’ll also receive a free Grove stoneware tray to beautifully display your new holiday soaps.
If you’re already a Grove customer, you’ll get a free set of Grove walnut scrubbers.

We recently went on another field trip to Riley's Farm in beautiful Oak Glen, California. This time we learned about the American Civil War. The kids had so much fun and learned many fascinating details about that time in history. The scenery is beautiful up there. If you are ever visiting California and near that area, I highly recommend a fun trip to Riley's farm to pick apples. I bought a chicken pot pie and apple crumb pie from their bakery to take home for dinner. Simply delicious.

Here are the fruit butters and preserves I purchased from our field trip to Riley's Farm.

The pumpkin butter is so amazing. It tastes like a pumpkin pie jam.

I hope you enjoyed this episode of Natural Home with Jennifer. I'll see you on Monday. Have a wonderful weekend!

Reviewing The Mrs. Meyer's Fall Scents | Natural Home with Jennifer

6:15 AM 9 Comments

In today's Natural Home with Jennifer, I'm reviewing the Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day fall scented cleaning products. We discuss, pumpkin, apple cider, and mum. I'm posting this video on a Wednesday so you can take advantage of Grove Collaborative's free fall gift set before the best scents sell out.

The pumpkin scent has a very authentic pumpkin aroma. It is spicy and aromatic, not sweet. This scent will not be for everyone. When you watch my video, you'll find out what my daughter thought of it! It does remind me of fall, however. If you like strong pumpkin smell without the sweetness, you might like this scent.

The mum scent (short for chrysanthemum) is a sweet, floral fall scent with a hint of blackberry. It's really delightful. Right now I only have this in the hand soap, but I am looking forward to trying the dish soap and multi-surface spray too. This one is great! A lovely floral for fall.

My absolute favorite is the Mrs. Meyer's apple cider. It perfectly captures a hot, steaming cup of apple cider, spiced with cinnamon. It's a sweet, tart, delightful fall scent. If I were to recommend one scent for fall, this would be it!

I would love to know... have you tried the Mrs. Meyer's fall scents? Which one is your favorite?

I get my natural cleaning products from Grove Collaborative. Grove has a wonderful promotion for September for new customers where they are giving away a free Mrs. Meyer's dish soap, hand soap, and multi-surface spray in whatever fall scent you choose (pumpkin, apple cider, or mum). Plus, you get a Grove replaceable head dish brush. Existing customers get a Grove walnut scrubber sponge.

I hope you enjoyed today's Natural Home with Jennifer. Which Mrs. Meyer's fall scent is your favorite?

I'll see you tomorrow for a fun family vlog involving our totally out-of-control vegetable garden :)

Favorite Mrs. Meyer's Scents | Natural Home with Jennifer

6:21 AM 5 Comments

I'm posting two Natural Home with Jennifer videos this week. In today's video, I'm sharing some of my favorite Mrs. Meyer's scents. There are so many options and the scents are not your typical cleaning product scents: geranium, bluebell, honeysuckle, lemon verbena, basil, and lavender to name a few.

So today I break down my favorite scents for you. At the top of the list is the honeysuckle scent. On Friday, I will be reviewing the laundry line in honeysuckle. Honeysuckle is a beautifully sweet and delicate scent. It's my favorite.

I also love the Geranium scent. It's surprisingly delightful- more perfumed than the other scents, with a strong, floral and herbal aroma.

Another wonderful fragrance is Basil, which is unexpectedly mild and sweet, not savory, as I expected it to be.

The Lemon Verbena scent is a green, herbal scent that is very pleasing, although doesn't purely smell like the real lemon verbena plant.

The Lavender is very pleasant although, like the lemon verbena, doesn't ring as a pure lavender scent to me. This one is more heady and herbal.

I discuss all of the scents I have tried in today's video. Today, I would love to know what your favorite scent is.

I'm posting this special post on a Tuesday because Grove Collaborative is running a new gift promotion for the month of July, where new customers will receive a Mrs. Meyer's dish soap, Mrs. Meyer's hand soap, Mrs. Meyer's hand lotion and an adorable farmhouse-style cleaning caddy when they spend $20. (I have been told that the cleaning caddy goes quickly so this promotion is only valid while supplies last.)

This promotion starts today and runs until Sunday, so I wanted to give you the opportunity to take advantage of it. Existing Grove customers will always receive a walnut scrubber sponge set for free when you use my special link.

Please note that after Sunday, you will still receive a free gift, it will not include the caddy.

I hope you enjoyed today's bonus video. I would love to know... what is your favorite Mrs. Meyer's scent?

I'll see you on Thursday a wonderful interview with Nikki Moreno from Inspired by Nikki.
