Hurrray, the book club is back!
I will not be able to participate in the live chat. Apart from being in a completely different time zone, tomorrow is my son's very first school day.
But here are my thoughts:
Both "Lucia in London" and "Mapp and Lucia" are my favorite books in the series. In my opinion, "Lucia in London" foreshadows today's obsession with social networking and celebrity culture and I found that fascinating.
"Mapp and Lucia" is just a great narrative of two small-town super heroines.
Thanks again, Jennifer, for choosing those books. It is so rare to find good books that are fun to read, yet in-depth.
I wish you all a great discussion tomorrow.
