Our Look Presentable Always series continues as we focus on Hair, Skin, and Nails in today's video.
In Lessons from Madame Chic we discuss the key concept of looking presentable always. Looking presentable does not mean looking perfect. It means that you have put some thought and effort into your appearance and that you are doing your best to represent yourself appropriately while displaying your true style. In the last post on this subject we focused on our wardrobe. Today, we are taking a look at the key grooming tenants that make this possible.
🗝 Hair Create a custom plan for your own hair routine. Learn the best way to do your hair from the professionals. Watch tutorials on YouTube. Have a plan for your down days. Avoid succumbing to bad hair day stereotypes. Utilize hair accessories on these days in order to look presentable. Get yourself on a maintenance schedule, whether that means you wash your hair every day, every other day, or twice a week.
🗝 Skin Let's start with stating the obvious: we need to drink enough water, get enough sleep, keep stress at bay, and apply sunblock every day. These are things we all know. As far as looking presentable, it will be different for each person. If you choose to wear makeup, come up with a simple makeup routine (in the Madame Chic books, I call it "le no makeup look".) This will be an easy and manageable routine that targets that areas you'd like to "spruce up" in your appearance. My bare minimum makeup routine is brows, mascara, and lip gloss. This only takes a few minutes but improves my look dramatically and brightens my eyes. When I have time for a full makeup routine (which takes about 10 minutes), I am able to also achieve a natural, yet polished look.
🗝 Nails Presentable nails are all about maintenance. If you go to the salon, aim to keep up on the appointments. If you do them at home, come up with an easy routine for yourself that is doable with your schedule.

Chanah writes, "Typically my salmon (and most fish recipes) are a little lemon juice, salt, pepper, garlic powder and any herb of my choice. Occasionally I will bake a sweet salmon with honey and mustard, or apricot jam and mustard, or maple syrup and soy sauce. I have a recipe for salmon quiche, but I always use canned salmon. I make a crust similar to what you have done, and mix the salmon with milk, a little flour and mayonnaise, and fill the crust. I like what you did with the vegetables.
Thanks for sharing this, Chanah. I always enjoy hearing how others like to prepare their favorite dishes.
I hope you enjoyed today's video. Let us know about your hair, skin, and nail routine and your comment could be chosen as comment of the week on the blog.
