# 10 Item Wardrobe # Lessons from Madame Chic

Madame Chic in Australia, The Art of Packing and 10 Item Wardrobe Update

Madame Chic Down Under
One of the fun things about having Lessons from Madame Chic available in other countries are the different book covers. Here we have the cover for Australia and New Zealand, which will be published by HarperCollins Australia and released on November 6, 2012. I just love its vibrancy. Isn't it fun?

The Art of Packing
I've received a lot of requests over the last few months to address packing for summer trips. My one bit of advice to you is to pack light. You can always buy something you need while away (and that is more fun anyway!). But it is never chic to tote around an excess of luggage (trust me- that's what I did in France). Along with packing a capsule wardrobe scaled for your trip, it is important to mention the art of packing your suitcase. I came across the very subject on Louis Vuitton's website and thought this interactive tutorial was just the best.

10 Item Wardrobe Collages
On Monday's post I mentioned the 10 Item Wardrobe collages on Polyvore that are celebrating the upcoming release of Lessons from Madame Chic. Unfortunately the link to the collection of collages was not included. I am including it here. Aren't they fabulous? I am just loving the different interpretations of the 10 Item Wardrobe.

I hope you all have a marvelous weekend!

I love the cover! WOW. I wish I could own the US copy and the Australian copy. I don't know...I'd rather pack too much in my carry on (it's possible, I have it down to a science) than spend my museum and train money on clothes..but that's just moi.

Thanks everyone! I'm so glad you like the cover. I love my Australian and New Zealand readers so I'm really happy that Lessons from Madame Chic will be published there. Now if I can only somehow manage a book tour as well! :) X

Digging the vibe of the Aussie cover!

Related: I recently moved out of the city into a small academic community, and part of my effort to minimize packing was to weed out my wardrobe. I've been trying to follow your 10-item system but I still ended up with four suitcases and three dufflebags of clothes....but that's an improvement! I really want to simplify...I admire your ability to stick to the program and make it work for you. Maybe this country living will also help me to un-hook myself from such consumerism and appreciate finer things :)

Jennifer, I'm so looking forward to purchasing this copy here in New Zealand. It will sit proudly beside my original copy, when I'm not reading it of course!

I just picked up this book from the library and read it within a week. I loved this! I spent 4 years living in southern Spain and it feels like you took what I learned about Europe in those 4 years and put them into the much needed words that I've always wanted to express. I wish we lived in the same state so we could grab a cup of coffee and enjoy the simple pleasures in life together.
