Method Dish Soap in Clementine | Natural Home with Jennifer

In today's video, I'm sharing my review of Method's dish soap in clementine.

The punchy citrus scent of clementine evokes memories of my favorite Body Shop scent from the 90s: satsuma. This is a wonderful, non-toxic dish soap.

Here's more on the clementine scent from Method: as the zesty kid sister to the orange, our sweet clementine often feels that she’s not taken seriously. we think serious is overrated anyway. but from here forward, we decree that she be known as the patron citrus of all that is good, clean, bright + cheery. hear, hear!

I hope you enjoy my review in today's video.

I have seen Method dish soap in stores, but not in the clementine scent. I purchased mine from Grove Collaborative. You can also find it as a 2-pack on Amazon, although the price on Grove Collaborative is much less expensive.

If you are trying Grove Collaborative for the first time, new customers will receive a Mrs. Meyer's dish soap, Mrs. Meyer's hand soap, and Mrs. Meyer's hand lotion when they spend $20. Existing Grove customers will always receive a walnut scrubber sponge set for free when you use my special link.

I hope you enjoyed today's Natural Home with Jennifer. I would love to know what dish soap you like to use. If you have any requests for future reviews, please leave them in the comment section below.

Have a wonderful weekend and I'll see you on Monday!

Hi Jennifer. I loved satsuma from The Body Shop, in fact I believe they still sell it. I used the body butter on my belly during all three of my pregnancies and I did not get a single stretch mark. Maybe I was just lucky but I still associate the orange smell with babies! Thanks for the review and the links. I will definitely try the dish soap.

Hi Jennifer,

I found the Mrs Meyers products at my local Vons so I could smell them to see which ones I like. Method products were also there. So if anyone wants to sniff before buying the cheaper version online, they can! I thought I would love the lavender but I actually like the basil scent better - go figure!

My next question is a little off topic - I purchased the Mrs Meyers multi purpose surface cleaner and am finding that it leaves a filmy residue on my countertops. I have tried wiping down with microfiber clothes and paper towels but get the same result. Have you (or anyone) had this experience? Got any tips?

Lynn

Hi ladies, thanks for visiting the blog!

Grace, I love the grapefruit and apple scents too. Apple is great for fall.

Megan, I haven't seen a Body Shop in California in a long time. I would love to step into one and buy a satsuma soap again :)

Lynn, that's a great tip! Scent is very personal so it's good to sample before buying. I didn't have that trouble with the Mrs. Meyer's surface cleaner. If anyone else has tips for Lynn, that would be helpful.

Thank you for commenting, ladies! See you tomorrow.

Best,

Jennifer

Lynn, it's funny you should say that about Mrs. Meyer's multi-surface cleaner. I was using Method multi-surface cleaner and experienced the same problem you have: when I spray and wipe my kitchen tile, it left a slightly greasy looking film that I had to buff like crazy to make shiny again. So I decided to try the Mrs. Meyer's... and I don't have that problem with hers. It seriously shortens the time I have to spend cleaning the kitchen! I would suggest that you try other brands to see if one of them works. There are a number of eco-friendly multi-surface cleaners out there, and one is bound to do the trick for you.

I’m using the Clementine scent at this moment thanks to your earlier review, Jennifer. I’m also using a white plastic dishwashing pan placed into my sink, as you did at your previous home, because I rather like the way the water can be recycled outside with plants and on the grass. So I usually fill up some warm water with a little squeeze of the Clementine dishwashing liquid and then I put my dishes in there as I prepare the meal. Your blood orange soy candle is on my next Grove Collaborative order. I’m loving this Natural Home series just like your other videos.
