Earl Grey Citrus is a citrusy black tea from India that is mixed with premium Bergamot Oil. It also comes in tea bags.

The Darjeeling is a summer black tea from the region of Darjeeling. This is a light, second-flush black tea with crisp, berry-like nuances. The brownish-black leaves are short, tightly-rolled, and interspersed with some green flakes. The liquor is mellow and unimposing, with notes of date palm and fermented barley that are discernible but fade away quickly. This tea has attributes of wood and dried fruit.

You can also find Vahdam teas on Amazon.

Comment of the Week
utahkenneds writes, "I appreciate this post so much! I am an attorney and worked part time when my girls were small and gradually have worked into full time as they are teenagers but work mostly from home. Everything you said is so correct! I think sometimes homemakers fall into the trap of feeling like they aren't enough and can't measure up. I have had the best of both worlds -- it isn't easy but I feel so blessed to be home when my girls come home from school and to have some balance. There is nothing - no title, no salary, no bonus, no awards -- I have had them all -- that compares to the feeling of being a great Mom, Wife and Homemaker, and I think more women are starting to realize this. This is where true joy and satisfaction emerge. Thank you!"

Good monring Jennifer, I was just re-reading the Jane Austen Diet this morning. I'm glad your reviewing it. Let me preface this by saying that I am a former bulimic/anorexic but still suffer with bouts of disordered eating. (similar to a dry alcoholic who must always err on caution). I appreciated all you wrote about eating, less snacking in your lovely Lessons's from Madamn Chic. This way of eating is my mantra. The French way was my hugh step in healing after years of forced dieting, starving etc. Merí
I find that Jan'e Austen's diet is adding just another tool in helping me out with living a chic life. It promotes a slight detachment from food, walking, fresh air and encourages drinking from much smaller glasses of wine. :). Quite a lovely read, vintage wisdom, but so relevant to the modern world.
Thank you for your blog. I'm very interested in your review. (I'm writing this before I hear what you have to say.)

Cheers,
Elle

Jennifer, I am looking forward to reading the Jane Austen Diet as this year I am having a Jane Austen reading fest! I started with The Illustrated Letters of Jane Austen and now I am reading Mansfield Park for the first time. I am aiming to read or re-read all of her novels, including the novel she wrote as a teenager, Love and Friendship ( a great film has been made of this). The new version of Emma will be on at the cinema soon which is wonderful timing.

Thanks for Earl Grey recommendation, I wonder have you tried Mariage Frere Earl Grey Blue?

And finally, is there an awareness of micro plastics in the US? In the UK and Australia there is a huge move to stop using things like micro fibre cloths as well as getting polyester and synthetics out of the clothing chain. When you wash your clothes millions of plastic particles end up in the ocean. I just thought I would mention it as the ramifications are fairly serious! I have only just learned that the particles also become air-borne and we breathe them in - yikes!

I really enjoyed the Jane Austen diet as well. I think we need more common sense books like this.

My favorite tea right now is Lady Jane Grey by Twinning. Its named after Earl Grey's wife. It's a bit more subtle than Earl Grey and my choice for an afternoon pick up, especially in a pretty tea cuo.
