Periwinkle Creme At-Home Manicure | Nails of the Week | Self-Care

As part of The Chic Assignment this month, we are getting manicure and pedicure ready. I have been enjoying doing these manicure videos for you. Today, I'm painting my nails with Londontown's Dainty Daze, which is a lovely periwinkle blue creme.

I normally do not like to wear blue polish, but there is something about this color.

For this nail soak, I use lavender Castile soap (mine is the Grove Collaborative brand), essential oil (I'm using Breathe Easy by Cellar Door Candles), and fresh lavender buds. I massage my hands with 2 in 1 hand and nail treatment

The 9-free polishes I use are Dainty Daze and the Gel Genius Base and Top Coat.

Watching you do your manicures has inspired me to begin taking care of my nails, Jennifer. Watching you is relaxing and very pleasant. It also makes manicures seem more easily doable. Thank you!

Going to be honest and say I much prefer the colours of the Essie range of nail polishes that you used to wear (and thank you for introducing me to). I don't find a lot of the colours in this London Town range to look all that chic and sophisticated, even if they're 9-free. I think there may be one or two of the colours that are more muted that I enjoy, but they would need to improve the texture to lure me away from Essie. To me, they look a bit like wearing paint rather than a polish. I appreciate these videos, I just always feel let down by the colours and wish they were Essie, which I thought suited you more. Sorry!

Thank you for the video! I am trying to make time each week to take care of my manicure. I also gave my self a pedicure and am trying to remember to use lotion every evening on my hands and feet. Self care is important and it doesn't have to be expensive. I love this color!

I love the color! It reminds me of the grape hyacinths and lilacs that are blooming this time of year. Lovely choice and good for you for trying a new palette!

Hello, Jennifer! I'm not much of a blue nail color person either, however, this periwinkle color is beautiful! I've placed a couple of orders from Londontown, but the JenniferS code only worked the first time, sadly! Too bad Londontown won't allow your subscribers to use the code more than once. Could you talk to them? If it weren't for you, I wouldn't be purchasing their products!
Thank you for sharing!

Hi ladies, thank you for commenting! I appreciate your comments. I'm glad that these videos have inspired some of you to do your nails at home. Kgirl- Londontown's Teatime is a great neutral shade. I like it as well as Essie Mademoiselle.

Rebecca- I'm sorry the code only works the first purchase. Thanks so much and I hope you enjoy the shades!

Thank you, ladies! Hope you're having a great weekend.
