Outfits & Makeup of the Week | Ten-Item Capsule Wardrobe | A'DEL Natural Cosmetics

I'm chronicling my fall outfits and makeup for the week in today's video. It's still sunny here in Southern California, so I am dressing with fall colors, but still with the weather in mind. I have been thoroughly enjoying my fall wardrobe.

Today's post is sponsored by A'DEL Natural Cosmetics. The owner of A'DEL, Arlene Dohtery, has been a long-time reader of The Daily Connoisseur. She is just lovely and not only is A'DEL a marvelous small family business, but the products are really outstanding too. Organic, natural and pure, this is makeup and skincare you can feel good about. Arlene gave us the code TDC20 for 20% off first-time orders. Thank you, Arlene!

As a fun challenge, I try out A'DEL's fall makeup each day this week to create beautiful smoky, yet natural looks.

The eyeshadows can be found here. From top left to right: Safari, Dusk, Ferris Wheel, Autumn. Bottom left to right: Brown Sugar, Espresso, Sahara and the cream blush is coral reef.

The lipsticks are cherry pop, memory making, southern belle, and serenade.

The Restore Body Butter is a luxurious body butter that boasts Mango Butter and Camellia Oil which are known for their restorative and regenerative properties. Sweet Thyme brings healing to areas that need a little extra indulgence. This body butter is so luxurious and moisturizing as are the two Blue Lagoon moisturizers. The oil is great to apply when getting out of the bath and I have been enjoying the face balm for its nourishing properties. You can find all of A'DEL skincare here.

Comment of the Week
On Saturday's Meme Review, Donna C writes, "Hi Jennifer. I am a child of the 50’s where we dressed up to “go to town”. But this reminded me of a funny story from my childhood. One time my dad was complaining about how mother looked and how we looked when he came home from work. The next day when he came home from work, mother had me dressed in my Easter dress with hat and gloves and my bother in his little suit and bow tie and sitting at the dinner table and mother was standing at the stove stirring dinner in a strapless evening gown. We all laughed and laughed. I am 71 and still remember that memory all these years later."

Donna, what a great memory. It sounds like you and your family had wonderful times together!

Jennifer, the colors in your new autumn wardrobe and the A'DEL natural cosmetics were made for you! What a selection you chose and created with your ten-item wardrobe this year. I got so excited when I saw you layer the denim front-tie shirt over the burgundy Target dress, because those two colors look so good together and the cropped shirt is spectacular as another layering piece for this season!

Your makeup is gorgeous in every shade combination and these pretty neutrals glow with your coloring. Thank you for sharing your Daily Connoisseur week; I am always inspired.

Is it just me or did all the eyeshadows look the same, LOL. Everything looks lovely, though, especially that Target dress, what a find. I would be interested to know your thoughts on how generations are increasingly becoming less formal not just with manners and clothing but with language. Couldn't help but notice quite a few 'I'm lovin' it' expressions, when I've not noticed you dropping the 'g' before. Maybe it's an influence from something you've been watching/listening to lately? That happens to me sometimes. I don't think it's something you'd say when discussing, say, classical music, so I wonder if fashion-speak makes you feel more casual or if this is what other YouTubers say in similar vids? (I have no idea, I'm not that into fashion.) It was just an interesting observation.
